| Noriko Kage

I was born in Oita, on Kyushu Island in southern Japan. From as early as I can remember, I’ve been passionate about creating art. That passion led me to study traditional Japanese art and crafts in college—where I first discovered the world of weaving. In 2001, I moved to the United States and eventually became a member of the Palomar Handweavers' Guild in Vista, California. It was there that fellow weavers introduced me to tapestry weaving and rag rug weaving, opening up new dimensions in my creative journey.
